Calvin has been with Ashtree House Dental since 2014.
He graduated with a Bachelor in Dental Surgery from Bristol University in 2003, and achieved postgraduate qualification to become Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons Edinburgh in 2005. He has gained a wide range of experience in secondary care settings including rotational posts in Newcastle Dental Hospital, Oral & Maxillofacial surgery experience In Newcastle General Hospital and Emergency department experience in Melbourne Dental Hospital Australia.
Calvin has continued to broaden his learning and challenge himself whilst working in general practice. This ranges from taking the renowned Christopher Orr Cosmetic and Aesthetic course in 2011, becoming an Inman aligner provider, working In NHS and private systems and even taking up a short term post in the prison dental services!
In 2015 he became an Educational Supervisor for the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Dental Foundation Training scheme, mentoring young dentists until 2021. This interest has lead to further postgraduate qualification in clinical education at Oxford Brookes in 2018.
His career aim is to treat patients as he would want to be treated, to build a friendly, relaxed and trusting relationship. He endeavours to take time and care to listen and adapt to your needs. He enjoys providing a full range of a dental services, with long term oral health always in mind. He has years of whitening, composite bonding and ceramic veneer/crowns experience. Calvin is currently furthering his education in splint therapy and sleep medicine for those clinchers/grinders/snorers out there!
Out of clinic he enjoys time with his wife and two boys, playing football, golf, keeping fit with pilates and metafit. He has been learning to play the guitar for a number of years and hopes to reignite a passion for travelling, food and skiing when the children are older and time allows!
